Synopsis
Lachhmi wants a child of her own; and when she demands it, her alcoholic husband assaults and demeans her. Her mother-in-law invariably questions her womanhood. The film, delving into the underlying horrors of patriarchy, depicts the inner struggle of a lower-middle-class, migrant housewife as she meditates on her counteractions.
